SUSHI-DO: The Way of Tuna

Ordering and payment:

  • Each individual MUST have a separate order form.
  • The prices on the provided menu have been adjusted to include tax and tip and rounded to the nearest $0.25. Additional gratuity is up to the individual, and not really necessary, but the price as listed for each item is the price which MUST be paid for that item.
  • All people who are attending the sushi dinner must have turned their orders in by 7PM on Friday of the convention weekend. At-con orders must be accompanied with cash payment. An order CANNOT be cancelled after 7PM on Friday at the convention, as the order for the group will be placed at this time. PLEASE mail in your order; it makes things much easier on a hectic Friday night.
  • All mail-ins with checks for payment must have been received by the Tuesday before the convention so they can be processed; late mailers may pay cash at the door.
  • Alcohol must be ordered AT THE RESTAURANT and paid for a la carte by the ordering person. The convention cannot pay for alcoholic beverages. Soft drinks may be pre-ordered; hot green tea is free.
  • Miso (soup) is included with EVERY entree. Additional soup may be ordered, or some soup may be ordered if you are not ordering an entree, but you do not have to order soup separately if you ordered an entree. There, is that explicit enough?

Embarkation:

  • People are urged to arrive at the restaurant AFTER 9PM and BEFORE 9:30 PM. Dinner officially begins at 9:30 PM. Please do NOT show up early.
  • Transportation is the responsibility of the attendees, although the concom urges people to carpool. People who have consumed alcohol and want to drive back to the hotel will be SAT UPON by The Emperor.

At table:

  • Each attendee will be given a copy of their order AND a piece of paper which can be folded to stand up on the table in front of them. This will bear their name AND order number so the nice wait staff can find them easily (if possible these will be two-sided). Each attendee MUST put their placard before them and keep it visible for the wait staff during dinner.
  • Someone from the con staff will be helping to direct food to the appropriate tables… help us help the restaurant by listening for your name or number being called out by a fine baritone or tenor from the Klingon Opera Society of Washington, DC.
