Friday Night Dinner
It wouldn't be a TCEP without it!
Please note: The cost of dining events is NOT included in your convention membership, but we do ask that you sign up beforehand so we can give establishments notice!
In order to simplify the reservation process, we ask for a head count of the number of individuals attending each Friday Night Dinner option (most likely Asahi Sushi or Outback Steakhouse). You can also opt not to participate in either one.
When you register for TCEP 15 (soon, we promise), please indicate the number of participants for each option. If nobody in your group will participate, simply select "Not Participating" and your head(s) will not be counted.
For the Sushi lovers going on the annual Sushi run, we're most likely eating at Asahi Japanese Restaurant (same place as last year). Asahi has the benefit of decent sushi AND a Korean menu as well (the restaurant was formerly exclusively Korean).
Please read all the way through the Sushi-Do information (below).
Those who prefer their meals cooked, or who would rather partake of lots of good, red meat, should plan to head to Outback Steakhouse (the hotel's restaurant).
We will be reserving space in advance of the con for the whole group, based on the headcounts we receive from registered members for each option. If you believe you will attend the dinner but you plan to register at the door, please send email to the address below and let us know in advance of the con so we can be sure to save enough space for you at the table!
Watch this space to see if anything changes in the plan. You never know, these days. If you have any questions about the dinner options, contact us at:

SUSHI-DO: The Way of Tuna
Here are two rules to abide by, to make everyone's life easier:
1. We have been using a standard gratuity of 20% (rounding up to the nearest dollar). Maryland tax is now 6%. These people are working really hard to get us fed, so please tip appropriately!
2. Alcohol must be ordered and paid for by the ordering person.
Embarkation:
People are urged to arrive at the restaurant BEFORE 8PM. Dinner officially begins at 8:00 PM SHARP.
Transportation is the responsibility of the attendees, although the concom urges people to carpool. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, or you will feel Tad's wrath (even if he can't attend).
At table:
You are responsible for keeping track of what you ordered from the menu at the restaurant. Be nice to the wait staff and pay attention when they announce the arrival of a dish.
That's it, unless we think of something else we forgot! Remember, please contact us if you have any questions!
